How many of you have succeeded in getting this done? What did you do to make it happen?

There's a ton of members here who have this feature. European F01/F02 seems to have feature enabled by default. However US-Canada cars got disabled by default - not sure why. Since the programming interface in F01/F02 is quite different than the one in E65/E66, most dealers don't have their technicians trained on this. If your car is still under manufacturer warranty, most technicians wouldn't even dare to touch it. I got it because nephew works as a master technician at a local dealer.

If it's illegal, somebody better tell Lexus. My 08 ls 460 could be programmed to fold the mirrors in when the ignition was switched off, out when turned on. I think it was just a flip of a switch on the dash to set it. No fooling around with the fob or the dealer.

We now have a BMW Coding Forum here at the Fest where we have a number of enthusiasts working to crack these hidden coding options. Thanks to one of these enthusiasts I now have FOB controlled folding mirrors, no more legal reminders, and few other software enhancements.

It's not that hard.

http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=619819

Coding of F10 and F01/02 are nearly the same.
I had the folding mirrors as mine is Euro spec but didn't have the acoustic confirmation when locking/unlockinng so I had that coded while retrofitting 6NR by Patryk from bimmer-tech.net
