upshift paddle doesn't always work
I seem to have an intermittent problem with the right paddle. Sometimes it doesn't upshift and I have to use the "gear stick".
Any ideas? Thanks

Probably the switch. The paddle activates a switch under it.

Thanks. It looks like the steering wheel would have to be pulled to replace that switch. Doesn't look like a DIY job. Right?

No idea, I never looked that closely.
Here is the parts diagram from RealOEM.com http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...88&hg=32&fg=35 It looks like maybe you can change the switches without removing the wheel.
