I have also done some more video showing some of the features in the rear of a 760Li at the request of other members.

Wow Ace. Very Nice ride. I can ride in the back of that car all day!. The 760 is the true flagship!

Leather Dash, Wood O SH** Handles, Recline rear seat, suede headliners an A,B,C Pillars OMG! True Flagship.

Thats what separates the 760Li from the others....... a very different car inside.......

I forgot to show you Rookie how the sides of the rear seats can be made to hug you too, just like the front seats can....

Oh I didn't show the laminated comfort glass.... that really makes a difference to the noise level inside the car.

Many people who have travelled in my car comment about how deathly silent it is in the car.... it's the comfort glass....

Plus because of the Comfort Glass, the air conditioning doesn't have to work as hard because the elements are more shielded from the outside.....

In this video I demonstrate how I have now powered the Passive Go (Comfort Access) module and I show that it is now present on the CAN-Bus in my car. I also show it being read and recognised by the system.

You mention doing the cas unit . Is that really necessary ?

By the way, my tcu re-coded fine to my vin (even though bmw says you cant) and in my mmi now it shows that my car is black and the vin number and the emergency phone system also works too now with the successful vin change in the facelift tcu

yes my tcu coded fine also , & my vin comes up along with
the emergency system working also .

we have proved them wrong on a lot of things .
There are 3 options for professional
& 2 options for enthusiast . Seems the only
difference is an added 6 foot extension .

The software is the same and you download it for free off their website. Free updates for life. The cable is proprietary so the software only works with their cable and the software detects which cable you have. I like the extension cable because it lets me sit outside my car over on the bench to work on my car. I was lucky and bought the professional pack with the extension cable secondhand from a seller on eBay for $500

Oh & no i don't have skype , although a lot of

Great work so far! glad to see this retrofit progressing so well, I have a few questions though...

How are you intending to pair the new CAS to the DME? does the CAS not function like the EWS module in older series cars whereby they have a rolling code set? I know the CAS has been replaced in my car about 18-24 months after its original manufacture by the dealer, is the BMW Dash or Bavarian tool able to pair the two modules?

One last thing, I dont mean to 'nitpick' and please dont take this the wrong way!....

In your video, you select the passive go system from the tree on the left, but the module part number returned in the diagnostic pane on the right is for the PDC and not the passive go module? it looks like the passive go option is just reading the information for the PDC?

What was the purpose of buying the bavarian technic tool? is it required for this retrofit?

The information you have provided so far has been very thorough and detailed, keep up the good work!

I didn't notice that with the part number, which is odd .......It says it is reading the Passive Go, but the part number is wrong, so I all check that now this morning.

I use Bavarian Technic along with my other diagnostic tools to perform various functions. Bavarian Technic gives me Real Time Analysis where as my Dashsoft is only a coding tool

Ok thats great, what tool are you using for that? I had a feeling the DME rolling code set cannot be changed and only re-aligned once originally programmed at the factory (we have heared this before! you and others have proved otherwise! VIN on the TCU for example )

I went through this saga a few years ago when I done an engine conversion in my E46, ended up having to buy a new KEY, EWS and DME from a breakers, and align the two with carsoft!

Yeah the info read back is definitely for the PDC, software could be a bit flakey!

Do you know how the BT tool 'detects' modules? does it list all possible modules in the left pane? or does it read the vehicle order from the CAS to determine what modules are/should be fitted?

Hey Stuart,

I use Dashsoft to realign them and I can change the VIN in the CAS too or the DME if I want to etc......
Found the problem with the Comfort Access, I hadn't connected the PA Bus to the CAS, so it is half reading it off the CAN-Bus.

The BT tool reads the VIN, then auto-lists what the car comes with out of the factory via an internet connection......but will add to the list any other modules it finds, will not show what it doesn't find and will give a report of the modules NOT found

Good job so far. Just based on what you need to do here I think you can do everything you are doing with the Bavarian tool with INPA. Just wanted to mention that incase anyone else was going to try the retrofit with INPA.
