More power, more speakers. Can't go wrong there. Well, unless they put a giant speaker box in the back eliminating the already minuscule trunk. Of Course, if you had 2 giant woofers, then you would need to look into some spinning rims and some neon. I think you will be fine though. I ordered it. It really is as simple as more for more.

Are you sure it's more speakers, I think it's just 200 more watts or so.

Not 100%. If it is only 200 watts, unless they add better speakers it would be the most worthless option ever.

825 watts, 16 speakers no big bass box in the trunk. The number of speakers is the same but the actual speakers are supposed to be different. Have in my X5. Happy with it plus you get silver speakers grill rings.....

I actually think I read somewhere there are woofers under the front seats. Admit, all y'all really want are two Fifteens in the base and a Vanilla Ice CD?

IF I could add one thing to my order, I think it would have been the premium sound.

The subs are under the seats. Search for EQ settings on the X5 forum. It seems to sound best with the sliders set somewhat counterintuitively. It really does sound good but I'm sure it's no B&O. Then again, it's a $2000 upgrade from the standard system here and includes Sirius.

Please let us know how it sounds when you take delivery. For an additional $1,000 I know I would have loved to hear the difference before spending the extra coin. I think the premium sound package for $950 makes a huge difference over the standard.

I ordered it as well. I should have mine by the end of the month. My previous BMW just had regular premium sound, so I can't wait to see what the difference is. Personally, I think they should have an asterix next to every option that ranks them by real categories

* You will never know the difference
** You will use this twice in 4 years and get nothing on resale for it
*** This is for people that really have more money than sense
**** I work here, and we don't even know what this does
*****You will love this, but we are replacing it with an upgrade in 3 months (right after your delivery)
******We put this on the option list, but didn't think anyone would actually order it.
******* You are going to love this, too bad it will delay your delivery for 3 months.

Feel free to add to the list.
