Does anyone know where to order the all weather floor liners for X5 at a best price I can not believe that the X5 does not come with anything standard (at least that is what the dealer is telling me) If I knew before I would have negotiated, but know that car has been already ordered I am not sure where to buy them from
Any advise would be greatly appreciated |

Tell your dealer to match the online price. If they don't, order it in advance and come to the closing with your own mats.

Do people usually prefer the mats to the liners? The liners look like a snug fit too.
I'm in Cali so I don't need to be concerned with slush, just kids! |

Here is another place (ebay store run by a dealer). It is asking $60/pair. I think it is free shipping. But will leave it to you to check out all of the details. http://stores.ebay.com/BMW-of-Bloomf...fsub=690918018 |

I received the rubber all-weather mats free with my X5d at a purchase price of $500 over invoice.
My thoughts on the all-weather mats: 1) The front mats fit into the foot mold area perfecftly. 2) The passenger mats don't fit perfectly, they ride up on a couple areas in the footwell mold area, but it's not noticeable while sitting. 3) They do their job, they pick up a lot of debris and dirt in the rubber ridge channels. 4) Super easy to clean. 5) The passenger mats move around a bit if you have a lot of people coming and going back there because there are no anchors.

I was amazed that at least carpet mats did not come standard. All Volvos come with carpet mats. I threw carpet and all waether mats into the negotiation. The carpet mats are really nice, have not put the rubber mats in yet. I did order the reversible mat for the cargo area from the dealer, I believe it was around $180 with BMWCCA discount. Mat is really nice, it is folded in two normally, and is big enough to cover the entire cargo area if you fold the rear seats down. Carpeted on one side, rubber on the other. Plus, it has a fold out rubber sheet to cover the tailgate/bumper area.

I had the rubber mats in my 07 but got the Weather liners for my 2011. The weather liners cover not just the floors but have flares which extend about 2-3 inches up on the sides. Keeps the fronts much cleaner. The back rubber mats only cover the STD footwell where the weather liner is one big piece covering both foot wells and the trans hump. If you want better pictures of them, weathertech makes the same for x5's Long and short. The weather liners protect more of your carpeting. I can post pictures if you want

I think I'll need the liners in back and for my third row, I have a messy kid with another one on the way.
As for the front, I think I might get the all weather mats... I live in Cali so slush/salt is not a problem for me. |

You don't have an X5 yet, right? And if you haven't actually compared OE to weathertech in an E70, how can you support that claim?
They may make a fine product and all, but just saying.... |

I was just planning to keep the mats from my 2008 lease return. They should be the same size, right?

I like the Weathertech floor liners; however, I have seen reports that the rubber mats are not custom fit, and not a good fit in many cases, i.e., they have several sizes/shapes of rubber mats and they simply pick the one closest to actually fitting a car and specify it. The liners OTOH, are custom fit and fit very well. |

The weathertech rubber mats are a custom fit. They are the exact shape as the factory floor mats, and the retention hooks are in the exact location of the velcro pads for the factory carpet mats. I think the factory rubber mats must be weathertech because they look exactly the same but have a BMW logo in place of the weathertech logo.
I don't like the look of the liners - too plasticy looking in my wife's car. FWIW dlr threw in carpet mats for me and I was $1k over invoice. |
