We should plan a time and meeting points for our Southern MD people as well as our Northern people. Venue starts at 10 I believe but was thinking to meet at Arundel Mills then drive to White Marsh to meet more riders before we hit Ripken Stadium.

@ Sir Smirnoff- Towson can work as well. I didn't see any posts in E46Fanatics when I was searching prior so thanks for the thread! I am close to Towson and M5 buddies are in White Marsh so it is a good meeting point. Name a time and we'll be there.

@Caravagio'sM3 - That's cool. I'm not exactly sure what time everyone will want to get there. Since it is only a half hour drive or so, I'd be inclined to say to be there at 9:00 if you want to mingle a little bit and set the departure time as 9:30. What's your thoughts on this?

The town center by Nordstroms and Fridays side?

Hey all, I'm setting up a Caravan from the DC Metro area. We have a facebook event right now for the caravan up to Aberdeen. Join up. I'll be posting details regarding the caravan within the next few days.

Caravan details:
For the caravan, we are looking for some road captains (basically pace cars to keep everyone together) as well as videographers/photographers who'd ride shotgun in our cars. The road captains will be limiting our cruising speed to 75-80 mph in order to keep the pack together all the way up to Aberdeen . Bear in mind we will be taking video and pictures while cruising up to our meeting points, so safety in a prime concern. We want to create a video that looks like this:

So long you stay behind the road captains, you can move from lane to lane as you please. To stay in touch, please make sure you have a two way radio charged and ready to go. If you don't have one, ask around to borrow a spare or get your own set (roughly $50). The following links are some two ways I have used and found they work well. You may need to pick up spare batteries just in case.

The plan is to start from College Park's Ikea at 9 am sharp and cruise up to White Marsh Ikea. A camera car(s) will be sent up to the Maryland Rest area on I-95 between DC and Baltimore where it will wait for the caravan to show up. The road captains will lead us through the Baltimore Harbor Tunnels so we have all tunnels filled with BMWs. Although some off us don't have Easy Tags, this will be the point where some of us will get separated. Take your time and rendezvous in White Marsh Ikea. Once we arrive there, we will wait for everyone to assemble. Once gathered, we will depart again. Estimated time of arrival at Cal Ripken Stadium is about 10:30-10:45.

If you are not interested in a caravan like this, we understand. You are more than welcome to meet together and blast up i-95 on your own. The rest of us will travel together and arrive together. This will be our first major drive as Bimmer Alliance so let's keep it safe and fun.

one other question.. my car isn't quite show quality but it is nice. =)
am i going to be the only near stock car in the show? or should i just park in the "other cars" lot?? lol
its an e60 with an m tech front and a few other simple add on goodies..

My car will be "stocker" than yours and i'm parking on the grounds.
I just got my car back from having the front bumper repainted to remove
all the rock chips. It looks Schweeet!!! I am so ready for Bimmerfest!!!

We could sneak you in ... it's supposed to be Bimmer Alliance parking but we can bring you into our group pretty easily.

Cool, also how would I also go about joining? I guess I could also find out more in the AM as well. So the plan is still 730 am at college park IKEA right?
