The E39 M5 is a great car, but it is not a race car... to heavy. Get an E30 318is and drop a s50 or s52 in it. My E30 is almost as quick as my M5 and will crush it in the corners.

If you want a beautiful sedan with ample power, get the M5... love mine and would never part with it.

Advice... find a good mechanic and budget $1500 per year for maintenance.

Be careful, it's a powerful car that can get a little tail happy at times.
