New Head gasket. 97 528I

Hello, I'm told I need a need a new head gasket. Engine overheated. Can someone give me a rough estimate?

I think $1500-2000 and about half of that is the replacement head. If not DIY it's better to sell the car and buy another e39. Might be able to sell your 97 for 2500 with bad head.
