X6 Diminished Value Appraisal questions...
Hi:
A friend of mine has a 2011 X6 35i that unfortunately has been in two accidents. Once while parked and once when a cab pulled out from the curb into traffic. My friend would like to file a diminished value claim with the insurance co. Anyone know a good adjuster for this in the DC area? Thanks!

Diminished value is paid by the insurance of the one at fault. If he was the one at fault, there is no option for obtaining diminished value. If there was, everyone who could not get what they wanted out of their car while trying to sell could simply wreck it and then ask their own insurance to pay for the difference between what the car is ACTUALLY worth and what the owner THINKS it is worth. He could find an adjuster but would then have to go through the other insurance companies system to get paid. His own insurance company should be able to help arrange everything against the offender.
