Does your car have horizontal wood trim across the back parcel shelf?

my car was delivered west coast in march.....so easy math there. car started production i think beg Feb. ....what about the rear sun shade package....could that be it?

I have rear & side power sunshades and the wood trim. If that matters??

my 2009 750i has a beautiful ash wood strip along the rear window lower area.

My 2011 LWB Hybrid does not have this.

Ok, let's do this, mine is lwb, power rear/side sunshades, luxury seating, and piano/alum rear trim. So for people who don't have it, what package you have?

I don't have it. My spec - AH7, swb, power rear/side sunshades, luxury seating, and fine line gloss rear trim

I have a Feb. 2012 production AH7 with sunshade and front luxury seating package and I have no wood trim on the rear shelf. I also have the standard fineline gloss trim. I think all the cars that's ordered with the standard fineline gloss wood trim does not come with the wood trim on the rear shelf. It's only installed when you order it with the other optional wood trims. Anyway, I'm kind of glad mine doesn't have it because I definitely see the potential for glare from the shiny wood. I really hate the reflection on the front dash wood trim. I'm constantly getting blinded by the glare near the start/stop button caused by the shinny wood.

Nah, there is no glare at all. I always have my rear/side shades up, and I can barely notice the wood panel it's there. It's a really nice touch, everytime I see it, it reminds me that I am driving a fine automobile.

To be honest, I never even noticed the wood back there until CC brought it up in this thread.

I seem to remember that fine line gloss was standard on the www.bmw.co.uk configurator, and that the other trims were optional extras. You can't see it now, since they are switching to the 2013s.

Does anyone have the standard fine line high gloss trim with the rear piece?

I'll add one more data point. I was at the local dealer who had a B7 on the floor. The car had fineline gloss trim, but no rear wood across the parcel shelf.

I didn't notice it in my car. Will look again. But in the e65's I've owned they were MUCH bigger and quite noticeable! Kinda like a "fine wooden shelf" back there!

I have the wooden trim, but it came with a package called extended wood.

I have the wood trim on my 2012 "L"... it seems only the "L" has it standard... not part of any special package...

I did not opt for the "Fine Line Gloss"... I have "Ash gray" but that shouldn't make a difference...

Your opinion sounds correct. But the facts are that everyone who has posted on this thread, who has fineline gloss trim, does not have the rear wood shelf. And everyone who doesn't have fine line gloss trim has it.

I think I've the fine line gloss and the rear parcel. It's the dark wood right?

But keep in mind I ordered it with "extended wood package" so I also have it in my SW and gear shifter.

You would be honestly the first person I've ever heard of to have the rear parcel shelf wood with fine line gloss if so. Along with HUD, that's one thing I wish I had.

Chris, I have a 2012 AH7 Long wheel base with fine line wood. No rear wood trim

I have it. 2009 F01 with Power shades.

+1 same here, 2013 740Li, no fine line gloss trim (I have Ash Grain) and I have the wood panel in the back...

The fine line gloss is BMW's dark brown wood in a high gloss trim, the "dark" wood is "Ash Grain" (it has a smoky black color to it), V/r, Tim
