Dealer threw them in for me, but ask for the floor liners and not the mats. They're pretty thin rubber and I don't think they'll hold up

Mat is really nice, it is folded in two normally, and is big enough to cover the entire cargo area if you fold the rear seats down. Carpeted on one side, rubber on the other. Plus, it has a fold out rubber sheet to cover the tailgate/bumper area.
Mine came with the carpet mats, but they got promptly tossed in the garage because you can't have both the rubber and carpet ones on

I bought these. Great fit. I think they are also sold as "laser cut" mats. Yes, they are thinner than the heavy rubber mats but the fit is excellent. I set them in the sun for half an hour to soften a bit after taking them out of the shipping box. They slipped right into place and look great!

Also bought this for the rear:

Again, could not be more pleased.

I don't think so. Weathertech makes BMW's floor liners but not the OEM rubber mats. Compare the two mats; I think the OEM rubber mats are far superior.

Weathertech does manufacture floor mats for BMW. May not look like typical style sold on their site, but they make rubber mats sold as BMW accessories, and other brands as well.

My OEM BMW heavy rubber mats have "Made in Germany" molded into the bottom of the mats and so state on the paper packaging on the "hangar". If Weathertech has a factory in Germany I'll eat my OEM mats as Weathertech advertising touts everything made in the USA. See this thread>> http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...highlight=mats

You won't have to eat them; I took a look at what I had before responding. I have four sets of rubber mats for various BMW's and a MINI. One made in Germany, 2 made in UK, one made in the US. The Germany made ones are for the X5, the 2 UK ones are for MINI R53 and BMW E90, US for E63.

I have worked with Weathertech and they do make mats for BMW's, but apparently not for the X5. No matter what, BMW does not manufacture floor mats, heck they don't even make transmissions.

I too installed these mats in our '12 X5…perfect! Set the carpeted ones aside in winter, swap back for summer.
The hangers themselves are an engineering marvel!!!
