European delivery date change

I plan to take the European delivery in October. My current concern is that it is likely that there could be a delay of my travel due to some family reason. If that happens, let's say I can not make the date that I specified when I placed the ED order. What will happen? How likely I can ask BMW to reschedule the pick up?

In my case, I won't be able to know the delay until a week before the scheduled date. Who should I contact to postpone the delivery for one week let's say? Will all the slots in that week be occupied? I understand that no one could say for sure, but based on your experience, how likely I can successfully postpone the pick up for one week given the short notice?

One side benefit is that if you postpone your pick up so that the manufacture date is in November you'll get the new version of idrive.

Short notice is a challenge for sure. The more time you give your CA , the higher the likelihood they'll be able to successfully move it back.

Will the new iDrive start in November? I read that it starts in the July production from the link below. Can you clarify?

Just realized you are talking about 3 series, right? I am ordering a 5 series, so it should be fine, right?

^^ Yes, sorry, I was talking about the 3 series. I don't know about the 5.

What about the 6 series Gran Coupe? Our delivery may be pushed back to October.

Ugggh! How does this affect the 2013 Z4? I was going to go to the dealer tomorrow to order.
