What Waxes and Paint Cleaners

Hello All,
It feels good to post something besides a auto repair. ( Knock on wood) I know there is a post for this so can someone please post the thread. My car is black and its starting to look a little dull on the hood. Even after applying wax.

Thank you,
Blake

I'm sure someone with alittle more expertise will probably chime in but my thought of dulling paint is a damaged clear coat. You may wanna consider getting the hood resprayed with paint and clear.

No, there is absolutely no need to respray the car if it is just dull. But if you don't know what you are doing at all, it is better to take it to a professional detailer.

+1 on sticking to a pro.

If your paint is looking dull it requires at least 2 steps of polishing and if you don't know what you are doing you can end up with a DeLorean look (stainless steel body).

Once a detailer has corrected the paint it will stay scratch free if you seal it 2 or 3 times a year with a good sealer.
