That might explain why they thought I was crazy. Thanks! Next stop, code auto-fold mirrors and closing tailgate from inside once my cable gets here.

Got my cable today and it installed as a USB Serial Port. Can you confirm this is correct? In the DIY, it has different advanced port settings.

Looks OK to me - have you tried INPA?

These are the iDrive Navigation systems. CCC was Car Communication Computer and was the older navigation system. CIC is the Car Infotainment Computer and is the newer Navigation system found in the E70 after 2009.

Thanks. So, the zoom function was removed from newer (CIC)? |

I just got mine reprogrammed and no zoom function. So I am assuming Blue Dragon is correct.

Got the 2 black dots with INPA but didn't do the airbag test as I didn't have an e70 option. Got the following error in NCSExpert when trying to go into Expert mode then "choose VIN/ZCS/FA" and then choose "ZCS/FA f. Ecu."

Did you update your data files to V45 or V46? Also did you empty the .MAN file?

Emptied the MAN file and still have the same error. I BELIEVE I did upload the daten files correctly. How can I make sure?

Exactly how did you do it, what version of the files did you use and where did you get them?

Got the files from: http://www.bmwcoding.com/showthread....es-V46.0-(full)
I then copied the contents of that folder to: C:\NCSEXPER\DATEN\E70

So you put all the files in one folder, didn't update the other folders in NCS or EDIABAS and you didn't run laden.bat? You need to spend some time reading in the http://www.bmwcoding.com/forumdispla...inner-s-Lounge. There are posts in there specifically about the errors you are seeing and how to fix them, and also how to properly update the files.

^^ Besides laden.bat, there are also some directories that you need to update manually. Read this

It is frustrating trying to code the E-chassis ... coming from the F10 and we spent a good amount of time organizing all the information about coding, where to get the files, etc. It has been a nightmare to find the right files here and everyone you ask says "google is your friend". Come on now! This can be done in a more organized fashion, we are all working together here and it's not meant to be a "hey, I got it, screw you trying to find it".
All links to data files I find are old or corrupted or people took it down. Seriously, what gives?

well, that's the other thing ... I've coded 15 F10s in the last 2 months and I refuse to charge money for it. That's not why we're in this forum. I've received 4 offers to code my car for $200. That is ridiculous.

Also, for the most part if you have a question any one on here should be able to help you out, it's when someone (generally, not saying you did this) asks something that can be answered with a quick search, members are less willing to help. |

I've been coding for free, why don't you just check bmwcoding.com forums for the daten files and standard tools. Do some reading over there first, and I'm sure you will find everything that you need.

Come on man, clearly I've done that ... and clearly if I've done coding before and I am familiar with the process, the issue is with finding the daten files and tools. I wouldn't be asking here if everything was there. All the links I found are outdated, all the DYI guides reference google as the source for files. All I'm saying is that there is a better way to do this ... smart-ass replies like this don't help. I've been here for a long time. I get the etiquette ... I wouldn't ask just because I'm lazy. It's because I genuinely can't find what I need.

http://www.bmwcoding.com/announcement.php?f=51 There are no more public links allowed on bmwcoding for daten files, but if you have been around, you would know who to PM. If you think my replies are just being a smartass, I can't help you further. Its funny, I just searched over there and I was able to find the links for standard tools without too much trouble.
