E30 (1982 - 1993)
God's Chariot. The E30 was produced primarily from 1982 through 1991. The cabriolet was the one exception which was produced through 1993.

Well the 6 button OBC was only wired up for reading the temperature.. the 13 button OBC had a lot more functions than the 6. So unless you wanted to buy all the wiring and sensors and hook everything up and stuff like that, I wouldn't recommend a 13 button. At least that's how I think it works..

Edit: And you could just make a light bar for your current OBC. There's tons of articles on how to make one from stuff from Radio Shack. All you do is pull out the old light bar and put in the new one

yep its not plug and play, unless you fit the whole loom etc too, which means taking out the dash if you want to do it properly.

Later BMWs it all just plugs in all the wiring is there from the factory. sady E30s were before those days
