2009 X5 leak problem; help please!

Hello everyone. I would be most grateful for your help. I just left my 2009 X5 parked in the open and a strong rainstorm fell. My car had never before experienced a downpour such as this. When I got into the car to leave, I at first noticed three drops of water in the right side front seat (copilot). I dried them, started the car and drove towards the entrance of the parking lot; suddenly, there were the drops again! This happened twice more until I put down the right side sun visor; water was dripping onto it from the courtesy light and then onto the seat! After a 5 minute ride home, when I was parking, I noticed there were leaks of water also runing down the lower part of the front of the right side front door and doorsill; actually the carpet in the right side footwell was damp. Does anyone has any idea as to what the problem might be? Clogged sunroof or other drains? Thanks in advance for your kind help.

Best regards,

Miguel

Thanks Blue Dragon. Dealer also says this and interior ceiling will have to come off to inspect and clean or change drain ducts and dry all wet areas at a cost of approx. US$1,500.00. Dealers says this was due to lack of maintenance,i.e. lack of care in keeping the area of the sunroof edge properly and perodically cleaned, and that this had probably never been done to the vehicle since new and purchased in Sept. 2008.

Best regards,
