Post Engine NOT starting

Hello I have 1992 318IS 1ST I WAS TOLD THAT I NEED A WHOLE NEW ENGINE. ONCE IT WAS BROUGHT AND PUT IN THE ISSUE NOW IS THAT THE CAR WON'T START. THOUGHT IT WAS THE FUEL PUMP BUT WHEN IT WAS JUMPED IT TURNED ON BUT IT DOES NOT COME ON JUST BY TURNING THE KEY. IT IS NOW BELIEVED THAT THE ENGINE ISN'T GETTING ANY FUEL BUT THE QUESTION IS WHY. THE ENGINE DOES TURN OVER, BUT GOES NOWHERE FROM THERE. IT ALMOST STARTED ONCE WHILE JUMPING THE FUEL PUMP AND USING STARTER FLUID. TRIED CHANGING THE FUSE AND FUEL RELY, BUT AGAIN NOT SUCH IF THOSE ARE THE ISSUE. I AM AT A LOST AT WHAT I SHOULD DO AT THIS POINT WHAT CAN BE DONE TO GET THIS CAR RUNNING AGAIN. WHAT ARE THE COMPONENTS TO A COMPLETE FUEL SYSTEM FOR THIS CAR?

the components are the DME which holds the info for the fuel injection, you have your injectors, lines, filter, and sending unit fuses and relays. Since you jumped it or tried to I'm guessing you have the back seats out it'd be pretty easy for you to get a multimeter and check for voltage at the sender, If it's not powering up then chances are the problem lies near the relay, so you'd check that. If the relay checks good, move to the fuse. if the fuse checks good that's where i'd start pleading for help. My guess is that if you changed your relay and fuses, and it's still not pumping, the sender has finally left this world.
