Fist time ED
First off, I want to thank all of those who have posted all of the amazing info! It is truly a wealth of great information.
I am scheduled to pick up my frozen grey M5 sept 11. Currently I'm planning on driving from Munich up to the ring for a couple days, then shooting over to Paris for a few days. Don't have my exact itinerary quite planned out yet but any advice or recommendations are welcome. I can't tell you how excited I am for this upcoming adventure. I'll be sure to post plenty of pics! Congrats on your M5 order. You won't regret doing an ED, as you can tell there are many folks on this forum that are passionate about the experience. I just completed my first ED and dropped off in Paris on July 10th. My itinerary included Munich, Salzburg, Stutgart, Lucern, Grindelwald, Geneva, and Paris. I wish I would have spent more time in Germany and Switzerland. I've been to Paris several times and going there didn't really add to my ED experience. My fondest memories were driving around Bavaria and the Bernese Alps. That being said, whatever you choose to do will be a memorable experience. And if I had to guess this won't be your last ED.

You won't regret making time for the 'Ring. It should be on the Bucket List for every enthusiast on the planet. Make the most of it by logging some time on a racing sim that has the circuit before you go. The biggest benefit will be knowing what's coming next when you're on-track - extremely valuable. The laps aren't cheap, and when you figure what it's costing you to get to that little starting barrier, you'll really be smart to do your homework in advance.
