Here's the AIS link for those who are on board the Tomar: http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/def...ntery=51.70738
Another 10 days until Oxnard...hopefully EPA/CARB will have certified the 2013 F30 models by then. ![]() It would be interesting to do a roll call as to which festers are on the Tomar. I think there are maybe four of us?

Heh! My car is not even on the Tomar. It is a week behind on the Dorado Leader. I have just been tracking the Tomar out of curiosity.

The Tomar is schedule to depart Manzanillo tomorrow (July 30th) with the next stop being Port Hueneme.
Based on it's schedule arrival at Panama, the Dorado Leader is less than five days behind the Tomar. It is not schedule to stop at Manzanillo (as far as I can tell) but must be stopping somewhere since it is not schedule to get to Port Hueneme until 8 days after the Tomar. Since the Dorado Leader is a NYK ship, getting information about it is much harder!

Sitting at the dock in Manzanillo. Should start through the canal in the next few hours. Then the home stretch. It would be nice if they got the CARB/EPA release paperwork before docking in Hueneme. Otherwise they could be waiting in Hueneme for awhile.
Here is the link to a live view of the Gatun Locks. http://www.pancanal.com/eng/photo/ca...html?cam=Gatun

Interesting...
The Tulane, a WW carrier, did a U-turn about the same time that the Tomar docked at Colon. Wonder what's up - if there's a problem with either carrier?

I think it more likely that the Tulane was already schedule to dock at Manzanillo, and that that is the prescribed approach.

I'm on the Tomar but my car is going to have to await transport to the Denver area after delivery to Hueneme. I am wondering what the typical transport time is, I am suspecting it will be 2+ weeks from dock to when it arrives, but we'll see.

Yes my fellow OCD sufferers, it is moving but appears to be going the wrong direction...Probably setting-up for an approach to the canal but still unnerving. Maybe they forgot my car and they're going back for it?? Just kidding...

Hey...Port Hueneme is this other direction, you're going the wrong way!!!
http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/pic...ictureid=29115 Maybe they don't have enough funds to pay for the passage through the canal?

Looks like the captain of the Tomar has taken control again...done a hairpin turn and heading back to port at 6 knots...I can sleep soundly now!

I knew the canal was a very busy place, but this is almost worse the LA rush-hour traffic.

Since the first cars arrived over a week ago I would say that it's unlikely that these will be idling at port for too long. This is more of a volume seller than the M3 so should get tested and certified fairly quickly.
