Poor Navigation System
I have a 2012 BMW X1 purchased in Canada. The Navigation system is difficult to use and certainly not as friendly as my portable Garmin. The system only announces the names of major routes which is pretty poor in 2012!! But my main beef is that the system is inaccurate. To get to my home in Bradenton, Florida. it tries to get me to turn into a field that has no road!! To get to my golf club, it tells me in the middle of a residential street that I have arrived, but I have another half mile to go. Same happened today when I went to our local post office. How can the maps be so inaccurate and is there anything I can do. Having spent all this money, it seems silly to rely on my $100 garmin.

It is probably why the navigation system is no longer available in 2013 for the X1!

I do not know, I did not ask more the questions at the sales consultant, when I was at the BMW dealer last week !
