You should hire a lawyer. I do not think the police chief can make his own law and automatic impound some one car I would even go as far as make him pay for your inconvenient and suffer

Quick update;
Thanks for the comment. But i got my car back the Monday following Bimmerfest. $350 bucks!!!! Definitely fighting this! |

But you were speeding, right? You don't say what the speed limit was in that stretch of road.

speed limit was 65. flow of traffic was probably around 70-75. i was within 70-75 and is no way having my car impounded and getting a ticket for exhibition of speed justifiable. I will win this.

Update:
Charges were dropped to a 1 point speeding ticket and fines were dropped due to the fee's i paid to get the car out of impound. traffic school here i come. |

Should of got a good attorney and appealed that. Depending on what state you're in, this sounds like a bunch of crap.
Good thing you got your car back though
