Grinding sound on sharp turns (moderate speed)
When driving my X5 (2004; 67K; 4.4i) and taking sharp (90-180 degree) right turns at moderate speed there is a grinding sound. It sounds like it is coming from the right wheel area. The noise doesnt occur on gradual turns or sharp turns at very slow speeds.
Anyone have any ideas?? |

Check the outer CV boot. it could be torn. The bearings are gum ball size that fit into a nuckle. Just my thoughts since I just replaced my passenger side half shaft that came with new CV boots ready to go. It runs smooth now and no shake on the highway.
