Dumb Question No. 23143: Do Bimmers Have Trim Tags?

Hey,

Question: How do we know what interior color Bimmers left the factory with? I'm aware of the exterior color label located in the engine bay.


And I removed my back seat bottom and found what I guess is a build sheet folded and tucked into a flap in the upolstery (though it was produced on a crunch early-'90s dot matrix printer; even with adjusted resolution I still can't really read it -- and its probably in German!).



So how do we know what interior colors and options the cars left the factories with?

just call your dealership, they can tell you

If you can make out a few German words on the build sheet in your seat it will say on there. You can also punch in your VIN in realoem.com and it shows all the colors available and it's usually pretty easy to figure out (i.e. parchment, dove gray, etc)
