Tapping into the AUX port on the HK stereo

Hi Folks,
Anyone know where i can tap into the AUX port for the HK head unit.
I have seen that you can buy a mini din connector that gets installed in the glove compartment. This is primarely so you can plug your portable mp3 player directly to the head unit.

Has any one seen or done this mod?

You have a MY 2002? No [official] AUX input until MY 2003 (09/2003 and later) production. Some earlier MY2002 cars may have it, but you'll need to pull the radio and test.

I will check my HK and see if it has the AUX input in the rear. I am able to select AUX from the deck selection, so I image that it has it. I also looked up the upgrade kit, its $29.

That is bizarre - AUX doesn't show up as a mode unless the Aux cable is already attached - there are components in the cable that allow the head unit to detect if it is attached.
