epic fail... DSP amp installation must be the holy grail of Google.
used yellow/red - grey/brown left, blue/white - blue/brown right. Amp remote to the white. Amp power LED is lit, 50amp @ battery is intact, t-taps secure, all contacts solid. ARGH. anyone have this wire color info handy? I have been on like 35 conflicting pages today. Last edited by eohagan; 08-07-2012 at 05:17 PM. |

sorry just reread ur post sounds like what u need is a line output converter instead of running it to the high output run the factory wires to the line output converter or loc then run the RCA wire to the amp
Here`s an image of what it looks like try and get this brand its really good quality it what we use at the shop i work for

Haha, that's the exact product I worked in installing yesterday. Never got sound so I pulled it. Been drinking enough tonight to be less than effective so I'll take the LOC to the shop in the morning...

so, i paid $50 to have it hooked up - they fixed my ground, fixed the 2 subs being out-of-phase, and 'tuned' it ... and it sounds like crap. Told me because the amp sucks and the BMW trunk is so insulated (need a mono block for $300) it'll never sound good. Insulation part makes sense, but I've had this setup in a '93 integra, '06 silverado (different box) and '97 CL and it was LOUD. Is this guy full of crap?

And they ended up using the high level input on the amp. If I fade left or right the subs get louder but they're crap quiet in the center...
