Just emailed the CA...he said there was no progress and I should wait for week 33 for an update. :-(

You will get yours eventually, maybe not so long after mine as it it probably shipped by truck to the midwest. Mine finished production but doesn't get to the West Coast VPC until 8/17 (slow train) so I might not get it until a few days after that. I'm hoping Jon is working his mojo.

Ordered mine 7-19, Received by the dealer today (8-7). Picking up on Friday. Its going to be a long 3 days…Black with Mojave. Very excited to see the mojave.

Ordered our space Grey, M Sports 30D on the same day. Built last week of July, embarked on ship Sunday 5 Aug, due in country second week of Sep. 1-2 weeks to be cleared through customs and other administrivia and delivery end Sep, early Oct. That beats the 4 and half months my BMW K1600GT motorcycle took from order to delivery and the five months our current Honda took from order to delivery from Thailand - almost right next door.

I'm happy for you...but read your account of order-to-delivery as "fingers nails on a chalk board"...given that I ordered before that I still have no confirmed production date on the phone/web. Oh well...enjoy the car.

I ordered July 27. Was just told by the dealer that it should go into production the third week of August.

Cool...what did you order? Sounds like you might have the car in your possession within a month of ordering.

I went with a Carbon Black 35i. Black leather with Aluminum trim. Almost the full set of options except Cold Weather 2 and the driver assistance package (although I did add on the HUD individually). I can't wait. This will be my first time ever buying a car for myself.

Finally have a vin...first progress since 7/11

Once a VIN number is assigned...does anyone have a clue how far we are from production? Is it a sign thigns are about to happen or could this still be a few weeks?

Fantastic...now in production with a completion date of 8/17...now I can get excited again.

Congrats Grantsi, welcome to the club! I just got my production video today. From what I can tell they got the color and the msport package right! After seing it I'm getting really excited!

I just got my video today, too. It was fun to watch and several cameras caught my car getting built, but the last camera was not working - the one where it drives off the line!! PCD is next Thursday.

Same here, last camera wasn't working in my video either. It seems our cards were built pretty close together.

Just saw that mine went into Production Status 1 today! How can I tell a completion date?

I was waiting for my car 12 days from the order day.

The phone number offers an "estimated completion" date...not sure how much weight the "estimated" carries, however, something is better than nothing. Hopefully it is finished before, but if not, a day or two more on the other end won't make a big difference. Just call 1-800-831-1117 "option 2" and enter your production number.

Production completed as of today! Yea!! Dealer says if everything goes normally on finish, transport to Texas etc... It should be here early next week.

Congrats...what does the website say now?

Website still says in production. I generally find it to be a day or say behind my dealer's updates.

Thanks. The automated phone line says 8/17/12.

We placed order for our 28i the evening of July 10th and delivery to dealer in Doylestown PA was last Friday or Saturday while I was away at a company meeting. We were not expecting it to come in until late August and that was not a push because we are away on vacation fro 8/19 till 9/2. However we will be picking the car up tomorrow and be able to take it on our two week vacation to OBX.
