Question What is a good price for this X5d 2010 CPO?

Local dealer has 2010 X5d 2010 CPO

Miles: 47,884
Options: 3-STAGE HEATED FRONT SEATS, BMW ON-BOARD NAVIGATION SYSTEM,
PREMIUM PKG, REAR CLIMATE PKG, RUNNING BOARDS
Price: 41,900.00

Concerns:

1) Do I have room for negotiations here?
2) man. warranty expires soon, should I get extended warranty in addition to CPO? How much does it cost?
3) is there anything I need to be aware of with a diesel car that has this mileage?
4) will this X5 even last me 5 years if I drive 10,000 per year?

I really want this car but never owned diesel SUV.

Thanks,
Alex

Ask for a printout of the original order sheet,

The CPO warranty is all you need,,,there are better, but the platinum plan will cost $5k and only add marginal stuff

Consider a pip

Any history?

A

I assume the tires on this one are not new. From your experience, how long do tires last on X5?

Seems expensive for a minimally optioned 35d with that mileage and don't see a great value there. I did a quick search on autotrader and saw several in that price range with less miles, more options, and CPO warranty. But maybe you like working with that dealer and want to stay local.

The reason I told him to get the print out is that it looks like an incomplete list of options. Hence to know what he is buying he needs a factual listing- not what the salesman types into the system...

That's right. Ask for the DAVIS report that reflects all options and also includes all BMW service events for the car.
