Rims for new 740i owner

Hi new to the site here and proud new owner of a 2012 740i. The only thing is i don't like the stock 18 inch rims. I was thinking about black rims but I'm not sure. The car is black sapphire metallic with chrome trim. Looking for some input that will help me decide which rims will look the best. Im going to go with 20 inch rims. Thanks in advance!

Yep, get the Vossen, I would jump on this if I didn't have my Individual rims.

I thought 22 would be too big. I don't want to lose drivability.

I have 22's and I like feel of the car better than when I had the stock 20 inch M-Sport wheels.

That's because the 22s are comprised of even softer compounds than the 20s. Also, bear in mind that you live in SoCal where the roads are slightly better than those where the OP resides (New Jersey) and the weather rarely, if ever, gets even close to freezing temperatures.

OP...please do your homework. One thing that is certain if you run 20s or 22s is that you'll need a set of 18s or 19s for the winter. With 20s and 22s you'll also be replacing tires more frequently due to limited tread wear (much softer tires) and, possibly, might be doing the same regarding the wheels (due to potholes and poor road surface conditions). I also think that 22s could impact or compromise some of the handling aspects of the car.

I put Blizzak's on my 18's for the winter and bought 302M's for the summer.

I couldnt understand why BMW would put 18s on their flagship. I had the optional 19"s and swapped them out for 20s, our roads aren't bad luckily, otherwise id have kept them for the added sidewall.

Only thing I don't like about my 20's is I can't go through car wash because the potential risk of damaging my wheels. Sometimes I wish I have 19's with meatier tires for that.
