Windshield distortion

So my wife and I noticed it the other day and brought the car for an inspection at the dealer. The mechanic agreed but it's a precedent and they didn't have other GTs to compare it against. So I have to go back next week and talk to the service dept manager since the repair would be at their discretion. The tech checked for Service Bulletins but found nothing. I've read about similar issues with the rear glass of X6 models.

Has anyone here noticed a distortion in the windshield glass? If you are in the driver's seat, it's about half a foot from the right edge, easily noticed if you just move your head left and right.
The tech noticed the same on the left side, though to a lesser degree.

Will keep everyone posted with the outcome.

Yes - noticed it. Almost like looking through glasses in some areas with increased maginification.

Update: not only was my observation confirmed but additional distortions were discovered along the right edge and along the bottom...something with the lamination. Credit to the dealer for offering to replace the glass, which I'll take them up on.

Two unfortunate discoveries while at the dealer:
1. Another GT and an x5 on the lot had similar irregularities.
2. I was told that the GT has been discontinued, following MY '13. Our club is about to become even smaller and more exclusive...

All set with the new widshield and new sensor as well (which also seems to have sold the problem with the daytime running lights working intermittently, though disabled in iDrive). Thanks to all for the helpful suggestions. I did flood the windshield with water and happy to report there are no leaks.

I did ask the General Sales manager this specific question and the word is "we dont know yet" so apparently it's being considered, which is bad enough as it is. As most of you know we are in the outlier of the BWM "traditional" product family. Disappointing sales aren't helping us either. The word is that the X6 is not selling as well as it could, due to the GT.

Furthermore, why would BMW continue to sell us cars that are built on the 7 series chassis, for the price of a 5?

I sure do hope this model endures, as, when the time comes, we'll replace our current car with more of the same!
