James Lin's E36!

Hey Guys!

James Lin of Team Hybrid recently did a photo shoot for a magazine and released some of the photos to us.

This thing has a lot of work put it and it certainly shows. Check it out below!

For more pictures and information check out the website:
http://www.teamhybrid.com/main/featu...-jameslin96e36

It also features some of their other members vehicles, which are pretty sick as well.

Thanks for looking!

Can't say I'm a huge fan, but I think black door moldings would make it look much better.

Looks pretty nifty though.

Only engine mod is a K&N filter? Not sure how "race" applies. Can't say I like half of the aesthetic mods either...

You'll have to excuse CJ. He clearly doesn't understand how the custom carbon fiber engine cover adds horsepower.

He probably can't even grasp the downforce those eyelids produce

WHAT THE F*CK

Meh... The only nice things on this car are the seats, door panels, and brakes. Everything else is just rice.

To each their own! Not everyone likes the show scene. I am a performance enthusiast myself, but I can appreciate the work that went into this.

So this guy spent like $10k on (questionable) aesthetic mods and custom interior, but it's stock ride height and he neglected to do the obvious M50 manifold swap? And it's a "race" car....

cleanly done, nice interior and engine compartment.

Things I don't like:

painted moldings (just way TOO MUCH silver)

the wheels are 'interesting', but too busy looking. I mean, did they really need a gazillion bolts to hold them together?

and although this has been mentioned, those eyebrows. Every car I see with those I want to just shout WAKE UP!!!!

I don't really get it. Doesn't look like a lot of work went in to this car to me. It's basically just another E36 with a few eBay parts and some stickers on it, with the exception of the brakes and seats. Also has ///M badges on it, and no ///M hardware to back it up. And the fact that the list of audio & visual modifications is longer than the list of modifications to the mechanical parts only causes me to furl my brow even more. Even the list of "mods" to the "engine" are mostly cosmetic...
