trouble with front fog lights on '12 328

Anyone noticing issues with yours? Mine seem to just have one lit up at a time. It's random and may be the left or the right on only but sometimes both are on. Can't relate it to anything. I noticed it while my wife was driving the car since I can't drive it.

Cornering lights? When the wheel is turned or blinker is on at low speed one fog light comes on the illuminate the direction you are turning. There is probably a better description of the operation in the manual.

That wasn't by any chance the cornering light...? And the times when both are on the fog light is actually turned on?
