Bluetooth pairing on 2008 non iDrive x3

Hello everyone!

My friend recently purchased a 2008 x3 with M-package but no iDrive or Nav.
The car has bluetooth as her phone was paired previously but she recently upgraded to a different device and has since forgot how to re-pair.

Since this doesn't have iDrive i am completely lost... i am used to the iDrive menu for BT pairing.

Can anyone provide step by step instructions or a link on how to pair a phone with this vehicle that does not have iDrive?

Much appreciated..! Thanks in advance!

Bluetooth X3 - 2008

iPhone 4: I just went through this and thanks to finding information on this site and downloading a BMW BT instruction PDF from another site I have my Bluetooth linked to my iPhone in a 2008 X3 with just the radio (no navigation).

You'll need to do the following:
1. Locate the BMW BT pass key. It's on the BT module located behind the left side trunk panel. Look for a button on top of the map/mesh panel. The BT module identifies by sticker the "PK" and four numbers, for example "PK: 0025"
2. Turn the iPhone to enable BT in the General>Settings menu.
3. Press the "face" key on the BMW BT for one second before turning on the ignition. Then hold it for another 3 seconds after turning on.
4. The phone and BMW will search for each other's BT to pair. On the iPhone my BT listed "BMW XXXX" where X is the last numbers of the VIN number.
5. Select the "BMW XXXX" BT to pair.
6. Now enter the pass key number when asked.
7. You're done.

Good luck.
