Thanks Phil, I did'nt mean the wiper motor I meant the pump motor that squirts the water.

under the bonnet, attached to the washer bottle inbetween the washer bottle and the bulkhead, black in colour. Your may have 3 pumps depending on if you have headlamp washers. Not sure which is which, probably the hardess to get to is the one you want, that is usually what happens.

The rear wiper washer is the one nearest the shell of the car. I had mine replaced by an Authorised BMW dealer (Australia) for $200AU. Good luck on eBay for finding a replacement.

one of your bulbs has blown, that is usually what has happened the X5 has 2.
