Upgraded Angel Eye HID Install (pics)

After reading several threads in the 7 series and other forum areas on angel eye upgrades (most notably this one http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=594448, Special thanks to FalconFlyer for the install guide and comments) I jumped on the bandwagon. i went with the HID upgrade from alpine MSS, though i was strongly considering the LUX LED's. In the end the brightness of the HID install sold me. On the last few posts of that thread above, it appears there may be some longevity issues with the relays and if the lights go out it sounds like you need to switch the system off or it overheats... I am a little uncomfortable, and have been checking my wires weekly.

Anyways, I am very happy with the resulting look of the upgrade. I know there are a few threads bragging about 20 min installs, but it took me just over an hour to get everything in and the cables tied down. I had an extremely hard time on my X6 getting my hand in to plug in the light bulb and get the cable grommet set the cap. I went with the 7k bulb color, which I am happy with. To my eyes the 8k tinged a bit to blue relative to the headlight color. Even the photos below appear a bit more blue than what I perceive in person. These are bright enough to reflect in the paint of the car in front of you during mid-day.

Attached are some pics (first time posting photos, so....), these were taken early evening in the shade.
A before, after from a couple angles, and side by side with one done.

Let me know how the Weisslicht's turn out. The g/f has strongly implied that I need to make the same mod on her 530 and she has a pre-lci car which means many bulbs have compatibility issues (including the HID's I got). Appear the Weisslichts are compatible with the 530... and the LUX led's throw codes

Thank you.
