Just purchased 2011 328i 15k miles

Hi, new here. I just purchased a 2011 328i 15k miles (6 cylinder 3.0L RWD). I am looking for anyone with experience with these cars to please tell me anything I should know about them.

The first maintenance was done at the BMW dealership at 15,278, oil/filter, recommended maintenance and the front wheel bearing/hub was replaced. The car drives really well, quite and so far I am very happy with it.

Thank you for any input you guys may have.

You should know your in-service date because four years from that day your warranty expires.

Otherwise, your car will tell you when you need service. Ask your dealer for new wipers once a year until your warranty expires. Premium gas...and enjoy!

Last thing, driving in DS is more fun!

Thank you for the reply cneighbor. I just got the car last night. Noticed the stitching on the driver seat is coming lose, minor really, wonder if warranty covers it (will ask at the dealer this weekend.) Didn't know I could get replacement wipers for free.

Haven't tried DS yet. Premium gas here is cali is 93 octanes, should be enough

Thank you for the feedback, it's my first BMW.

Yes, enjoy the ride and welcome to the club. You'll never want to drive anything but a bimmer. Read and learn on this board...IMHO, it's the best one. And don't let the board bullies bother you. Ask what you need to.

You had it right the first time, the X at the end just indicates all wheel drive.

Welcome to Bimmerfest!

BMW makes a great AWD system. It has been designated Xi, iX, X-Drive, etc. at different times. No wonder people get confused over the nomemclature.

Get the Mike Miller old school maintenance schedule

Get the Mike Miller old school maintenance schedule
You are entitled to one free oil change a year regardless of the
mileage or what the computer says that's about all you get under free
maintenance be sure to at least get that. Change your lifetime fluids
is you want the car to last along time.
