Shadow Line Overlay-lookalike

So, a few months ago I noticed that my exterior pillar covers, particularly the drivers side, were beginning to fade. Instead of buying all new OEM inlays or overlays (w/e), I decided to take the eBay route. I found a dealer offering reasonably priced overlays. I will admit, I was a little iffy about buying them, but after the installation I was pretty pleased.

If anything, it doesn't look faded anymore.

The installation was pretty easy and the quality is better than expected. If you decide to try this, let patience be your best friend. The adhesive is pretty strong and once it's on, it's on.

Here are some before and after photos. Excuse the lighting, or lack of...

The kit comes with ten overlay pieces.

for that price, I might consider this even though they aren't faded. Would you recommend prior to the fading, if only to get the gloss look?

Sure, why not? It does look a lot nicer IMO, unless you're attracted to the matte look.

That looks really good.
Did you just glue this over the matte ones?

The kit comes with ten pieces. Behind each piece is a very strong adhesive. No glue required. Just peel and attach very sssllloooowwwwlllyyy.

I think the gloss black would look excellent if you have tinted windows as well.

...well, I'm fixing that next week. The tint I had didn't match. I removed what was on there because it bothered me.
