Thinking about selling & getting M5..

love love love my 7, but i drove an M5 the other day & every time i drive one of those i go nuts & wanna buy one...so put the 7 up for sale..if it happens, it happens! here is the for sale thread.

Can't go wrong with the M5! It's the perfect move for someone looking to maintain most of the luxury of the 7 and gain a more sporty ride.

What year/color/specs are you looking for in the M?

Black (black or saddle brown interior) or silver (Black interior) must be 6 Speed not SMG so 2007 is probably what i can afford since 2006 they didn't make 6speed manual.

Are you wanting the 6MT because of reliability of the SMG or because you don't like the SMG? If its the latter I would really advise you to give SMG a try. It is not very test drive friendly. I was actually worried I wasn't going to like it after a few days of owning the car, but after I got used to it and learned how and when to shift I absolutely love it so much more than I could have ever imagined. There's nothing like turning the traction control off and chirping the tires at 75 mph shifting into third.

I also love the aluminum trim on the M5 and the comfort seats are a must. Good luck with the sell of your car and keep us updated.

i drove the SMG & didn't like it, no matter what its not a Stick shift, the clutch, the control, there will never ever be anything that connects the driver to the car like the Manual stick shift.

I've always wanted an e39 m5. Very reliable and easy to work on!

also considered an m5, awesome as they come in a 4 dr. The big body actually calmed me down a bit.

V10 maintenance can get pricey get a warranty
esp if anything goes wrong with Valvetronic.

I do not like the SMG on that car. 6speed is the way to go.

did you put your car for sale anywhere other than here?? This is not the best place to sell a car btw.
