The 83 suspension is totally different than that of an 80. Those springs and shocks will not fit. Finding proper lowering springs for an E12 chassis car is difficult. It took me 6 months to find mine.

The springs from manufacturers for an early car are hard to find as they only make them periodically. i got mine from B&G in Calif who just happened to have a pair in the warehouse. Korman has them of their own design but will only give a 1" drop. The guys on Ebay who say they have them most usually don't and are waiting for the manufacturing cycle so be careful there. It is a matter of looking until you hit. H&R springs are available out of Europe but about $400 a pair shipped. Get on german ebay there is always alot of stuff there, but shipping can be a killer. Bilsteins are still available easily for n E12 car and I also have a set of rare new in the box Konis, which is what i run on my car. If you go bils you need to buy sport shocks and not heavy duty guys.

B&G is a manufacturer with their warehouse is in the San Diego area. Call them, but I think they are out, but don't listn to what someone says until you hear from the horses mouth,.Brian, probably the guy you will talk with, may be able to direct you to a dealer that has some or tell you when they are expected in.
