I have the rare 95/96 Atlantic Olympic BMW

Does anyone want to buy the rare, only 500 produced 1995/96 Atlantic Olympic Edition 525i BMW? I have spent lots of money on buying new parts and tons of time restoring and redoing this car. I no longer have the time, money, or energy to continue and want to pass on the torch. I have lots of pictures of the car if anyone is interested.

I have lots of new parts that are not on the car and in the box still. I have parts you cannot buy anymore including Eibach lowering springs that are no longer produced for the 525i. These are brand spanking new along with the Bilstein shocks I have for it. I have brand new K&N air filter in box for it, blue and white carbon fiber emblems in box, brand new parking brakes and kit sitting in a box, brand new drilled and slotted rotors with brand new carbon fiber pads, I have brand new calipers all the way around painted silver with G2 paint. I have lots and lots of other stuff I can't message cause you won't be able to read it all here!

I am asking about $4000 for the car along with all the millions of brand new parts that are not even on the car yet. The link above in the first post will bring you to another forum where I have pictures.

That looks like a nice car with some great parts thrown in. I would put this in the for sale
forum here and bimmernut.com and bimmerboard.com as well.

Why are the taillights out and other parts out in various pictures. IMO, this does not inspire confidence to a future purchaser. Perhaps I missed it, but what is the mileage and do you have records on the car? Most potential purchaser will want this information. BTW, glad to see all the books/manuals still with the car.

Other than a badge and custom door sills what exactly are the unique features?

Everything is out of the car because I was detailing each piece individually by hand. I wanted to completely redo this car making it a perfect car. It has all manuals and original documentation from dealership including leather samples, BMW cassette tape, warranty booklets and everything with it. I have many pictures. I am looking for someone serious for this particular edition. The edition has a custom paint called Oxford Green made just for that car, the piping on the seats match the paint of the car, the backseat has headrests which I don't believe most 525i's had during that time, custom decals and badging on door sills, door trim, and glove box, special rims for that car, and there were only 500 made in that edition. Looks like a well cared for car. Again, maintainance records are a positive. Unless I am wrong, Oxford Green is not exclusive to the car. My 525i is the same color do are many other BMWs including the E39.

Was there a special sales brochure for this car? if so I want one. as I have many other e34 brochures including some euro models.

I would also put it on the Atlanta Craigslist, someone in Atlanta might be interested in that special edition since they were the 96 Olympics hosts, it is a rare car.

I have an Oxford green 525i with rear headrests. I also have all manuals and yes, even the BMW cassette.

Maybe I should just buy some sort sills lol. Good luck with the sale. That a great price for a nice car and all the parts

I think the OP was smart and listed it in the classified section along with detailed pictures and a description. I recommend doing that and also listing it locally on Craigslist.

Yeah it's not that rare of a car,it's just a 525i with olympic doors sills. Nothing special that was worth 4k. Plus the po got the car for free.

Sure they only made for 400 but like I said it's nothing special. And by the way if you want rare buy a 540i msport. Only 200 made and 65 of those were auto, which mine is. but glws

Yeah I read it dude got flamed hard core,however never found out what he got for it. The thing I've noticed about bf.c is if you get flamed on, and you take it in stride your're more likely to be welcomed. You can't get mad, they're gonna flame on you even harder.

Yep pretty much. You have to earn your stripes there.
As for the OP. Yeah he wants too much. You can easily duplicate a Hotlanta 5 ring for under $400 bucks, unlike other more rare models.

His mistake was trying to ridicule tourings as grandma cars.
Once he did that it was forum suicide.
He then tired to defend his comments and was sent to the corner quickly.

He's ok I think I've dealt with him on a trading level. But he should have listened to the good advise before things got nasty.
