inner drivers side door handle assembly

Hi all i am new member and have only owned my 2002 X5 for about a month and have had some minor issuesbut i still love the car, it is over 10 years old after all.
My question is how much should i pay for a door handle assembly as the existing one has snapped the cable. Due to an airbag in the door i had the local BMW dealers to give me a qoute which was$590 just for the part they did manage to get one for about $290 then about $200 to fit it, i just want to if this is reasonableor
