2013 Z4 will kill the price of used 2010-12 Z4?
According to the info we got so far here
http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=627045 The New 2013 Z4 will be : -1300$ cheaper @Base price than the previous model without losing features -Includes the previous "Premium package" for FREE (3300$ Value, now comes for free) -Comfort access and Aluminum trim for free (1000$ Value) That's 5600$ saving already but that's not all There is still though plenty of extras free of charge, added Wind deflector, Compass , free 18" light alloy wheels style and Sport seats plus various little changes like the buttons, there is also a new facelift and Hardtop operated at 40k/h now Also if you were to upgrade to the M sport package it does cost less now compared to the 2012 Z4 What do you guys think? I'm on the market for a Z4 and not sure if i should buy the NEW 2013 Z4 or wait and get a used 2012 Certified by BMW Z4, I'm not sure why BMW made all these changes/extras/price reduction, i guess the Z4 is not selling as much as they wanted? or maybe they are afraid of the new 2013 boxster? any advice would be highly appreciated regarding buying USED 2012 versus new 2013 in the upcoming few months (I'll buy one during the holidays at around nov-December) Last edited by 2015Z5; 07-04-2012 at 08:42 AM. |

No. Used Z4s 2009 - 2012 are far and few. Supply is in sellers' favor.
To build my same 2009 35i as a 2013 model comes up $1000 higher. Last edited by BlueZ4AZ; 07-14-2012 at 12:58 PM. |

Also, my '11 Z4 has a non turbo I6 engine. That will be a good thing for resale.

Agree that the I6 will be valued as it is a fantastic engine. I do wonder what the market will reflect next year when the Z4's that were secured with the 80% residual are turned back in.

Where did you get news about a facelift to the 2013 Z4? I heard there was no LCI! Am I incorrect? Prey tell because we are picking up a '13 Z4 on August 13.

Regarding the numbers in the OP:
I don't see standard leather on the 2013 28i. That was part of the $3300 2012 premium package. The 2013 28i does not have standard 18" wheels or sport seats. Those are changes to the 2013 35i. Look carefully at the post you linked. You talk about the Z4 but your numbers are for the 28i only. The 35i and 35is do not have any price reduction and don't share nearly as much "savings." I would think there will be few if any CPO 2012 28i in December. On the other hand, the new 2012 models are being discounted now. A $2500 option allowance is available along with special lease offers through July 31st. If you find a 2012 28i which has all of the newly standard parts you can drive a hard bargain for a $4000 discount if you can get a dealer to listen. And that might not happen because dealers know most buyers don't do their homework. Which is why I don't see the 2013 price/option adjustments having much affect on the prices of used Z4's. neve, what is an LCI? edit: life cycle impulse; a mid-generation facelift Last edited by onelsdplease; 07-14-2012 at 07:07 PM. When I was looking to upgrade to the newer Z4, I saw a lot of price variation. Locally, there was a 2009 non CPO's they were asking $44K for. I found a 2009 CPO's with 36K miles for $34.9K, but I had to travel to Texas to get it. Even with that pricing, I still would have gone used. I had a new looking vehicle with low miles and have 3.5 years left of warranty

Had a 2011 35i with the M package... ordering a 2013 35is with black alcantara leather combo interior... European delivery...
Good luck finding a CPO... last I looked, there were a handful available. If you want to save some money, you may want to contact your dealer... I believe there is a $2500 incentive for all in-stock Z4's (2012's). |

I was shopping for a new Z4 35is. Found a almost fully loaded 2012 at a dealer. Was able to order a fully loaded, new 2013 for cheaper.
