I've been stuck on the status of "Released to Carrier for Transport to Exit Port" for 4 days now....Getting frustrated!!!

Love to know how they decide when to start a particular order. We both ordered a 328ix. Me on 8-7,you weeks later, yours is built before mine is started. Dealer advised me mine was a priority dealer slot to boot.

If you ordered before the factory closed for vacation for two weeks, there will most likely be a longer wait. Yours is probably in the backlog of orders piling up during the break period and it will take them a little longer to get caught up is my guess.

I'm not sure. We both ordered during the shutdown (I didn't know about shutdown till I saw it here) Mine was ordered towards the end and yours toward the beginning.

I actually ordered week before shutdown. Just re checked I ordered one the 6th. Your dealer did a better job of getting it done. I am hoping mine is done before next boat.

I checked online yesterday and the next boat for Baltimore is scheduled 9/14. I hope we both make it!!

Be tough one, as they gave me completion date of the 14th. Maybe someone will hold the ramp for Me , lol!

Got my 08 4.8i X5 there. great dealership, great service. Didn't go back because I found this internet dealer that really give you great deals in NJ. I got the 35d X5 thru them and they were 70 dollars per month cheaper than Passport. Anyway Passport IMO is the best BMW dealership in the DC area.

I don't know exactly what BMW dealership they work with but I know I need to pickup the car in NJ.

PP was about $1600 cheaper that BMW of Fairfax. Where do you go for service?

Estimated completion is 14th. For me also. Surely we will be boat buddies, lol. If we are lucky they will be done earlier. If extremely lucky, we will make one of those dates..... Now I am obsessively checking status all day.

LOL BMW of Fairfax, its by far the closest BMW dealership for McLean. Service is ok no issues but yea they were expensive. I also heard BMW of Alexandria is very good. That is where I did the BMW USA drive, they were willing to deal until I told them I wanted to get a 335i, manual with dynamic handling. They had one build spot and they were not willing to deal, for a 328i no problem I could have gotten one for 500 dollar over invoice. My internet dealer got me one for basically cost.

Since mine was completed on the 3rd I must be on the TOPEKA. So figure its going to be in New York at the 3rd, probably can pick it up by the 6th. How long it takes to clear customs anyone knows?

I thought my 335i order was slow: placed order on 08/16, production scheduled for week 42, October 15-20. Delivery not likely until late November.

328i seems to be much more readily available, either from dealers or from the factory.
