Goodbye X5

Well, I've said goodbye to the BMW family for awhile... Last Monday I went and got a 2013 Volkswagen Passat TDI Premium, drove off the lot with 101 miles on it. Not exactly the hottest car, I agree... But what nobody can disagree about is the 40MPG HWY, & 800mi per fill up. And for somebody who commutes 80mi a day, I needed something more gas friendly than the 15MPG BMW.
I averaged $125/wk in gas (BMW), & so far in the Passat I've put $65- which lasted me all work week & weekend.

The Passat I chose definitely is more loaded than I thought VW even made their cars; I have Navigation (with live traffic updates & rain radar), Bluetooth phone, XM radio, Push-To-Start, AutoStart, Back-Up Camera, Fender audio system, and much more. I've had the car a week and I can honestly say; I love it. With the Passat, I have 36,000mi warranty, Roadside Assistance, etc; The typical when you purchase a new car.

For the folks wondering, I got $6500 trade-in on my 2001 BMW X5 4.4i with 113k miles; Which all we wanted was payoff for the BMW.

In all honesty, the only reason I purchased a VW was because of the gas mileage.. And so far, I have no regrets in the decision I've made to leave BMW ( atleast for a little while ). I certainly wouldn't say I'm done with BMW as I still want to own a 6 Series someday. In the meantime, heres a couple pictures of my 2013 Passat:
