Navigation Light up

Hi i recently bought a 2001 x5 and it comes with the navigation package. The only thing is it doesnt turn on. But the radio and everything else works fine. I checked the fuses and everything seems fine there. Any help is much appreciated! Oh btw when the car is shut off i can see that the screen slightly displays the BMW logo and lettering so maybe its just a back lighting failure?

I have the same problem, any luck with other people responding??

I suggest calling this guy I posted in this link. He also does some GPS display work. You may want to discuss your issues with him to help with your situation.
