Thanks dadesidon! I do tend to drive around my area quite a bit, since my drive to work is only 1.5 miles I take my car the extra long way places.
There's still some more work I'd like to get done to my car but those will be all performance gainers. And on that note, my car is currently registered in CA, but will be switching that over to TX soon. How stringent is TX on exhaust and downpipes? Will the car pass emissions here? In CA our cars weren't required to go through inspection until the car had been on the road for 5 years..

Hey Chris. As long as the check engine light is off, you should be good to go. I would get my 2000 Saleen to pass TX inspection, and it had long tube headers, NO catalytic converter and a Borla cat-back. I had a great tune that kept the check engine light off. For the TX state inspection they do hook up to the OBD-II, and she still passed.

I grew up in Los Angeles county, then moved all around so cal from San Diego, Long Beach, Woodland Hills and a couple more areas. What part of Cali are you from?

A year in the OC and then 3+ in Silicon Valley - San Jose specifically. Now I live in a place that is just a few degrees cooler than the sun... LOL

BTW, not sure if anyone is interested, but there is a great deal on the new 6-series 20" 5 blade sport wheels. The seller is local, and says that they are perfect and only have 3k miles on them. He is selling them for $2000. I am sure that tires alone would cost that.

They are all over the place, apparently there was a sale.

We need to get bimmerfest holder plates so we can recognize each other. That is one of the things i used to love about my Vette. When you get to a light and see another Vette and you always say hello.

Lol. Ramble, I have seen you in your whip at a light a couple of times before we met. I was waiting for you to say "What's in you wallet", because I thought you might have been a Viking from the Capital One commercials. Lol.

Yeah, I have seen a few 528s running around. I have also seen a black 550i for a while. More reasons for me to keep modding, so I won't get mistaken for a neighbor.

Vettes, Vipers and other specialty cars seem to have an understood underground club. I love my F10, but I see a spread of drivers from soccer moms, to Indians (an absurd amount of my peeps in Las Colinas - Valley Ranch), to senior citizens. Most are probably not enthusiasts. Btw, CHRIS (RambleJ), with all do respect, you were my favorite suprise to see behind the wheel of the 5. Black beast with a tattooed beast. Lol

I don't see many F10's myself. Maybe one here and there. But the majority are 3 series and X5's.

I agree. I feel like I see more Xs, 3s and 7s compared to the F10. In our area, it seems like the 3 series may be as plentiful as Honda Accords.

I will say that it's the LED angel eyes on the F10 that always catches my attention. I have seen a couple around without it on the F, and they almost approach me unnoticed. It was her eyes that made me fall in love . Lol.

Nope I am with you Ramble, lots of 5's. But just be ware if you see a guy in a White Hyundai Genesis flick their lights. That's me so dont open fire. :-)

Just a couple more months before I am on the Dallas streets. Then you can recognize me by my out of state plates.

Sedan - White.

I had to turn in my Cali plates, but I waited until the last second. Especially when you consider what they cost in the first place.

The F10 will wind up with FL plates, but that won't hit TX streets until Dec, 2012.

OK, I saw a dark blue 535i M-Sport F10 at the 24 hour fitness in Valley Ranch (by 635 MacArthur) around 5pm today (Saturday - 9/15/12). She was sporting a carbon fiber rear deck spoiler and black exhaust tips. Surely someone with good taste like that will be a fester!

I will be interested to see (and hear) the difference. Where are you going to have the work done?

I am going to slap the tune on myself. As far as the exhaust goes, I am not too sure yet. I am open to any suggestions on a decent exhaust shop around the dfw area.

Yes and I beleive that is with the tune at the standard +3.5 psi. I am looking to add it to 4.5 since we have 93 octane out here.
I am sure later down the line I will add a nice downpipe as well. But for now, just a tune and exhaust, I was happy with just those 2 on my e60 535.

Thanks for the heads up about the stage II. I did look at that, but didn't want to go that route (yet). The install is more invasive since you have to actually poke around and actually splice a couple wires to get intergrated with the canBus. Not something I really want to do to my car.
