Cracked Rims 2008 650! E64

Has anyone had any problems with the stock rims cracking? I had both rear wheels replaced and now the from driver side has a crack in it? Is this a problem with the 08' 6 series or did I get the one that was made on Monday? Any help would be great.

There are many threads on this if you search. I had mine fixed for about 100 at a goodyear shop. I then decided to buy aftermarket rims because 6 series are now affordable on the used market because no one wants a v8 due to gas prices and I needed to differentiate my ride from the others. Got 20 inch and keep on moving my friend.

What style wheel do you have? There was a successful class action lawsuit on the ellipsoid wheels. BMW would replace them for free but only during the warranty period of the car.

You can pick up used ellipsoids for less than the price of repairing them. People practically give them away.

Might want to consider a set of wheels that have a higher load rating if they're cracking. Forgestars have a high load rating, are Rotary Forged/Flow Formed, and are very strong. It certainly helps as well that they're line up looks incredible as well. It's something to consider if you're having issues, so take a look:
