Today I swore at my OBC after a "Low Beam Failure" code magically appeared..
I was having a nice drive home when I rolled into work zone that called for lights on, shortly after turning them on the evil code showed up..Both HID's are working fine no idea what tripped the code I thought it was gone..

The low beam failure is somewhat common on E36s equipped with aftermarket HID headlights.

What happens with the LEDs when the lights fade out? Do they just go from being fully illuminated to fully off, or do they still fade out like the standard bulbs do?

If you like it, cool. Personally, I'm partial to the warm glow of incandescents for interior lighting. It also doesn't knock out your night vision as much, although red leds would mitigate that.

Yeah, if I was going to install LEDs, I'd want them to be as close to incandescent-appearing as possible - not that cool blue/hyper white color.

I've got the bright white LED's in front and back that come on when a door is opened....
Maybe I'll throw some red's in those spots and see how I like them, the damn thing will look like a rolling 'ho house..

Yup. I see no problem with incandescent interior lights, if it ain't broke don't fix it. But if it makes you happy, go for it. Sent from my LG Revolution 4G using BimmerApp

Finally.....something on this project actually went smoother than expected. Just changed the radiator on the E36, took like 15 minutes. That's a brilliant design.
In order of plan today:
If it doesn't go well.......part out.

Today I replaced the PO's ghetto shift knob, replaced boot and ordered fresh e46 sport seats to replace my horrific standard seats.

Today I washed, clayed, and waxed it. I started to polish it,l and after I did the hood I couldn't tell any difference so I stopped. I'm starting to notice but I don't know if its only in my mind or if it really is more reflective..

Polish goes before the wax bro. All you're doing is polishing off the wax.

Just thought I'd update - knew today was going too smooth. Just reread the directions on the Blue Devil, it works by the temperature difference so it needs to be applied to a totally cold engine. Guess I'm waiting for Monday night. Ugh.

First time posting in this thread….
Today I quick detailed, painted the flaking rails at the top of the car (with rustoleum), and fixed a couple of rock chips…. it was a paint day. Cheers!
