Electrical help. Passenger Bright Light fixed, but dim and flickering
I did the LCM repair spelled out in a few posts here. I purchased the electronic component and replaced it on the LCM board. The light stays off when the switch/car is off, but when it is on it flickers and is dim. Is the component bad? Could there be another part bad? I'm tempted to run a wire from the good side to the bad and patch it. This puppy is getting tired and dinking around isn't looking like fun any longer.
I contacted Mouser and should have a response about the component soon. Any help till then would be appreciated. |

Needed the brights this morning. I spliced into the driver's side and ran a patch cord to the passenger side for bright light only. Problem solved.
Next question. What triggers the "bulb out" indicator on the dash? If the plug is pulled from the bulb it doesn't trigger it. Is it that smart? |

Did you replace BOTH chips.
You piggyback from the good side, OK as temporary measure but on the long run, it is no good because you now put 110W on 1 chip. |

right and left chip? or bright and dim chip? It's worth all 4 if I knew it would solve all the issues. Only passenger bright was staying on.

Mouser is sending a replacement for the one that may be faulty. I was so thankful I bought 3 more to replace all 4. Why not!
