2011 or 2013 X3 28i
Hi Guys,
I am new here and looking at an X3. I have my sites on either a 2011 X3 with a few miles on it or a new 13 X3. What I am wondering is if the N20 engine is brand new or just brand new to us? I know and am familiar with the 3.0 in the 2011, but not so familiar with the turbo 4 in the 2013. Just not sure I want to be the guinea pig with a brand new engine in it's first year. Thanks GC |

There are plenty of thread debating the merits of both engines N52 and N20.
The N20 can be found in many of BMW's current line-up and has made Ward's 10 Best Engines list for 2012. It really comes down to personal preferences, naturally aspirated 6 or turbo 4. The basic car is identical between the '11 and '13 models. Id personally go with the turbo 4 ...but that's just me. |

13, has alot of standard options that you might find very useful in the future and as well as a efficient 4 banger that is just 0.5 secs off the n55

Actually it is a 1 second difference. The 35i does 0-60 in 5.5 and the 4 banger does 0-60 in 6.5 per all the online information.
