Swapping Nav / Stereo Screens?
Recently bought a 2009 650i Sport CV and love it. Still working through programming everything the way that I like it, but getting there.
One thing I can't seem to figure out is how to get the Nav on the large (left) side of the screen and the radio on the small (right) side of the screen. Seems like a waste to have the radio on the large screen when you don't need all of that room for info. I can get the nav on the large side when I put in an address, but can't get radio on the small side. Am I missing something? Thx - Nikko |

The small screen to the right is the assistance window, I have never heard of the ability to switch the windows purpose.

That must be it, because my neighbor has a 2011 and his entertainment info is on the right. I just think it makes much more sense and was hoping that I could set mine up that way.
Thanks for the info - Nikko |

You can have NAV on both the large main screen (left) and over on the small right side "assistance screen" too. To get NAV on the main left screen you hold the iDrive controller to the right from the main menu. To get NAV on the assistance screen you move the controller over to the right once inside NAV or Entertainment etc... then push down on the iDrive controller and select one of the NAV items from the menu. Typically the assistance screen shows the trip computer but it can show several NAV screens too.
